Urban Spaces Train Station Thun

Following the charrette process for the ESP Thun railway station (2020), we have developed a detailed operational and design concept for the station area of Thun. The concept demonstrates how, through an integrated approach and the urban reorganisation of transport infrastructure, an enormous variety of functions – including 18 bus stops (designed in accordance with the Disability Act), 3,600 cycle parking spaces and four main cycle routes – can be brought together within a prestigious, green and pedestrian-friendly urban space serving 40,000 passengers a day.
