The municipality of Raron is confronted with a variety of major and minor projects that require overarching coordination (e.g. motorway covering, Rotten bridge, public transport hub, Eischoll cable car). As part of the planning process, overarching development scenarios were discussed with the advisory board and the local population. Based on these scenarios, a framework plan was developed to define the strategic design elements for the north–south connection across the Rotten and for the design of the motorway covering in the east–west direction.
