Station District Turgi

Based on the cantonal spatial plan (Chapter S 1.3—Railway Station Areas), a comprehensive urban and open space concept was developed for the Turgi station area. The overall concept demonstrates a high-quality inner development of the station area with a balanced and location-appropriate mix of residential, commercial, and central functions. The station is integrated into the existing settlement structure, creating a cohesive urban fabric. The station square is interconnected urbanistically, aesthetically, and functionally with Bahnhofstrasse. On the south side, the slightly offset road layout creates a natural station forecourt that serves as a link between the Weichlen settlement expansion area and the station.
