Triemli-Platz, Zurich

Triemli Square, located at the foot of the Uetliberg, forms the western gateway to the city of Zurich. With the striking high-rise cluster of the Triemli Hospital, it serves as a prominent point of orientation. The square functions as a local meeting place and is frequented day and night due to the presence of the hospital.

At the same time, Triemli Square is an important transport hub. It is where Birmensdorferstrasse and Triemlistrasse intersect (30’000 vehicles per day), and it forms the main access point to the Triemli city hospital. The green axis of the Triemlifussweg–Hohensteinweg also crosses the square—an important recreational route for both cyclists and pedestrians.

Triemli Square is also the terminus for tram lines 9 and 14 and is served by trolleybus line 33. In addition, it is a stop for the key tangential bus line 80 as well as for various regional PostBus lines.
