Housing District, Hüttikon
At a central location adjacent to the village center, a high-quality rural multi-family housing quarter is to be developed on the eastern edge of Hüttikon’s settlement area, serving as a harmonious transition to the open landscape. The new buildings will form compact and communal residential courtyards, designed as car-free play and recreational spaces. Existing valuable buildings, such as historic farmhouses, will be integrated as important components within the neighborhood. An open, continuous green space with large trees will serve as an identity-forming internal area, connecting the different courtyards and ensuring pedestrian permeability throughout the quarter. At the intersection of the main roads and in close proximity to the bus stop and community center, a village meadow with a playground and potential communal uses will be created.
